First draft and development for La Fattoria's Olive Oil packaging. A small family run olive oil producer from Puglia, southern Italy. The logo and type was pre-existing but the identity, art direction and packaging needed to be established.

Given certain budgetry restrictions on the print and bottling we decided to use recycled bottles and then wrap each bottle with tissue paper before applying the label.

Shown above is the first stage of development incorporating the regions symbol (an acorn like pine cone) as well as illustrations by the incredibly talented Susie Wright.

Upon presentation though the classic approach was felt to be too obvious and not eye catching enough in an already saturated market. As a result I'm currently working on a very stripped back approach (the black and white treatment at the bottom) based upon the physical space within the factory.
